Inmate Text App
Inmate texting apps are the best method of keeping in contact with a relative or friend who is currently in prison. These apps are specially created to meet prison regulations and allow family members as well as friends to send and receive messages images, photos, eCards video calls, and money into their prison trust account. There are also federal inmate apps which offer additional services, like phone calls and video visits.
JPay, for example allows friends and family members to transfer money directly text inmate to an inmate's trust account, as well as emails, photos, videograms, and electronic cards. It also lets them design personalized postcards with personal photos. It's a more secure, more secure alternative to regular mail.
Another popular texting app for prisoners is GettingOut. It allows "simple reliable, safe communication" between inmates with their loved ones. The app, available in select correctional facilities, allows inmates to upload photos as well as text their friends and families via their tablets. It costs inmates $0.25 a message, and loved ones pay for the information used to access their messages (but not for explicit pictures). You can also make use of the GettingOut application to share a photo on Facebook or Foursquare and check in on Foursquare and include a video in upload to YouTube upload.
